The Salad Shop is an organic, family-owned, business dedicated to offering consumers the freshest vegetables and fruits as well as offering healthy living to a more health-conscious public by offering raw, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Owner and creator Liz Wolfe realized her passion for food when she was a young girl growing up in Southern California. She enjoyed growing cucumbers, celery, and tomatoes with her mom and grandma but felt she had no direction in life or little interest in food. After a stroke of a great aunt, she was inspired to create a space for her mother and daughter to share their creative energy and their love of food. The shop slowly evolved into a full-service organic garden center with locations in Los Angeles and San Diego. Salad Shop- Chicken Salad Shoppe is an excellent resource for this.
The unique “salad machine” technology that The Salad Shop offers allows customers to prepare salads right on the spot. Customers are encouraged to try a new salad and add ingredients as they choose them. This is a wonderful way to get ideas without having to travel to a local restaurant. Wolf also encourages customers to leave feedback, which is very rare in food establishments.
Vegetable salads are the most popular items offered at the salad shop. They offer a wide variety of different types of fresh vegetables such as radishes, carrots, asparagus, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, halibut, mushrooms, leafy greens, spicy vegetables, honeydew, squash, celery, peas, broccoli, etc. The salads are often accompanied by a side of fresh, or grilled, vegetables. The salads are available for purchase, as well as many creative gift baskets, including personalized containers and gift certificates for local restaurants.
